AFRICA MONEY BRIEF

Privacy & Cookies Notice

Effective: 10 October 2026

Africa Money Brief (AMB) publishes financial-market information at africamoneybrief.com. This notice explains the information collected through this website and your choices.

1. Website analytics — optional

With your permission, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website. This may include pages visited, approximate location, device and browser information, referral sources, and engagement with pages. Google Analytics may use cookies and similar identifiers to distinguish visits. We use these insights to improve site content and performance.

Analytics is off by default. We do not load the Google Analytics tag until you select Accept analytics. Selecting Reject analytics lets you browse without our optional Google Analytics tracking. We do not use this tag for personalized advertising.

2. Your cookie choices

We store your analytics choice in your browser's local storage (key amb_analytics_consent_v1) so the banner does not reappear on every page. This preference does not identify you to AMB. If you consent, Google Analytics may set cookies such as _ga and related measurement cookies. You can change your choice at any time by selecting on this page or in the website footer. Withdrawing consent stops future GA4 tracking on this site and attempts to clear GA cookies accessible to this website; it does not retroactively erase data already processed.

3. Hosting and technical information

The website is hosted using GitHub Pages. As with most web hosting services, technical requests to access the site may involve IP addresses and other connection data processed by the hosting provider for delivery, security and operations. These hosting processes are separate from our optional Google Analytics tag.

4. Third-party services and links

When you accept analytics, information is processed by Google under its applicable service terms and privacy practices. Please review Google's Privacy Policy. Our website also links to third-party services, including X, which operate under their own privacy notices.

5. Data retention and transfers

Analytics data retention is governed by the settings of our Google Analytics property and Google's service policies. Google and our hosting provider may process data in countries outside your own. We will review the property's retention and sharing settings as part of our analytics administration.

6. Questions and privacy requests

For privacy questions, you can reach Africa Money Brief through our official X profile (@AMBriefDaily). Please do not publish sensitive personal information in public replies. A dedicated privacy contact address will be added when confirmed.

7. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our tools or practices change. The effective date at the top indicates the latest published version.
